Fightn-CKD: Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease study

What is the fightn-CKD Study?

The fightn-CKD Study is testing an investigational drug to see whether it could help people with high blood pressure (hypertension) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). A high dose and a low dose of the investigational drug will be compared with a placebo. A placebo looks exactly like the investigational drug but contains no active medication.

What is the investigational drug?

The investigational drug is designed to block the production of a hormone, called aldosterone, which is linked to hypertension. Researchers believe that lowering aldosterone levels could help reduce blood pressure and improve kidney function.
